Tom WillieCEO and President
Tom Willie serves as CURRENT’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Tom previously served as CURRENT’s Chief Product Officer and its President and COO and has been with CURRENT since December 2003. Tom also serves as the Vice President/Vice Chairman of PRIME Alliance AISBL, a nonprofit industry trade group focused on the development of a new open, public and non-proprietary smart metering and smart grid communications solution. Prior to joining CURRENT, Tom served as Vice President and General Manager of Siemens (Efficient Networks (largest commercial business (>$250M in annual revenue) with over 150 employees – joined company pre revenue)) Broadband consumer solutions division in Dallas, Texas where he was responsible for setting group direction, product strategy, leading product management and development efforts, and overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the business. Tom worked closely with major ILECs, CLECs and ISPs to develop strategic broadband deployment initiatives and define next-generation service roadmaps. Prior to his role at Siemens, Tom held strategic worldwide marketing management positions at Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor. Tom obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
Angel HernandezExecutive Vice President - World Wide Sales
Angel Hernandez oversees worldwide sales for CURRENT and is based in CURRENT’s European headquarters in Mägenwil, Switzerland. Angel joined CURRENT in 2006 as General Manager of its European operations. After several executive positions at STS, Alcatel Switzerland and the Alcatel Headquarter in Paris Angel served as Vice President of Alcatel USA. Angel holds degrees in Engineering from University of Madrid, in Marketing at the London Business School as well as a Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Manu SharmaExecutive Vice President – Product Management
Manu Sharma heads CURRENT’s Product Management global teams. With several patent applications to his credit, Manu has been an innovator in communication systems and he has led multiple projects from concept to prototyping and successful productization. Manu has played a critical role in formulating product strategy and closing alliances with key technology partners. More recently, Manu has made key contributions to the evolution of PRIME specifications and he continues to lead the MAC subgroup in the PRIME Alliance. Prior to joining CURRENT in 2006, as Head of Software Engineering at Ascom Powerline, Manu worked extensively on broadband powerline (BPL) systems, VoIP and wireless technologies. Prior to this, he held various development positions in telecom projects at Fujitsu and AT&T. Manu holds a B.E in Computer Engineering from M.M.M. Engg College, India.
Neil DonnellyExecutive Vice President - Operations
Neil Donnelly serves as Executive Vice President of Operations for CURRENT. Mr. Donnelly‘s responsibilities include the generation of all sales proposals, RFP responses and product price book management. He also leads the management of Production Engineering ensuring all new products verification testing and agency certifications are in compliance with customer requirements, together with the development of fully automatic production test fixturing for volume manufacturing. Leveraging Neil’s Operations experience he also built and leads the NPI (New Product Introduction) team which includes configuration management, rapid in house prototyping, DFM (Design For Manufacture) all contract manufacturing support, procurement and logistics as well as project management. Neil has over 25 years of experience developing, motivating and leading high performance teams. Neil joined Current as Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing in 2002. Prior to CURRENT, Neil held several positions at Hughes Network Systems during an 11-year tenure, including Senior Director of Operations, Director of Manufacturing Engineering, Director of Operations Program Management as well as Plant Manager for a 250,000 sq ft state of the art SMT manufacturing facility. Neil obtained a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from Capitol College in Laurel, Maryland.
Andrew RosensteinExecutive Vice President – Strategic Partnerships and General Counsel
Andrew Rosenstein serves as Executive Vice President – Strategic Partnerships and General Counsel for CURRENT. Andrew is responsible for all partnership and strategic relations for CURRENT and all legal and regulatory matters and has been with CURRENT since 2006. In addition, Andrew oversees all human resources, facilities and finance functions for CURRENT. Andrew also serves as the Corporate Secretary for both CURRENT and PRIME Alliance AISBL. Prior to joining CURRENT, Andrew was a corporate transactional attorney at McKee Nelson LLP (acquired by Bingham McCutcheon). Andrew received a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, an M.B.A. (Finance) from George Washington University and a B.B.A. (Finance) from University of Michigan.
